Augie Rodriguez
Augie came to the U.S. on a tug boat in 1980 that some family members rented out. He saw his first skateboard at the age of 16 and has never let it go since. Augie tried doing the contest circuit thing but it just didn’t work, so he mostly travels around doing Demos and skate camps. Through it all, Augie always remember what he learned in the beginning: just remember to skate because you want to skate not because someone else wants you too.

How does a typical day in the life of Augie go? I start my day by making some Good Earth Tea (Rainforest red tea) otherwise I can’t function. Then check the emails to see where I want to go skate for the day.
What is the weirdest encounter you have had while on the road? Watching some kid get hit in the head with a toilet bowl at show in tampa ,I really mean a whole toilet bowl.
Why do you choose Triple 8 for your protective gear needs? Since day one Triple 8 has been thinking of ways to make things more comfortable and better which to me is very important.
