"BALLOON ROBOT" HELMETS COME TO LIFE!
WINNING ENTRY IN TRIPLE EIGHT'S "DESIGN OR DIE" HELMET DESIGN CONTEST NOW AVAILABLE!
Balloon Robot was created as part of Triple Eight’s groundbreaking “Design or Die” open design challenge. We enlisted a community of creatives from around the world to design, collaborate and vote on designs for our classic Brainsaver skate helmet. The contest was hosted by Jovoto’s creative collaboration platform with the help of mass collaboration specialists Collaboratie Mutopo. Of the more than 170 entries, Balloon Robot, designed by Llereni Medina of Chicago, IL, emerged as a favorite. So we decided to produce it and kick back a portion of the proceeds to this up and coming designer.

The winning designer behind the concept of ‘Balloon Robot’, Llereni Medina added: “Triple 8 is a great brand and I’m thrilled to see my work associated with them. Securing an ongoing revenue share agreement for helmets sold is the icing on the cake."
