Hunter Long
Triple Eight’s newest addition hailing from the beautiful state of Hawaii started skateboarding at age 11. She started competing just a year later at age 12. In her spare time she enjoys surfing, snowboarding, music, art, diving, and anything outdoorsy. School is also very important to Hunter as she continues to hold a 4.0 GPA. She hopes to become a doctor one day and also still be involved with the action sports industry.

How does a typical day in the life of Hunter Long go? Wake up. Check weather and surf conditions. Go to school. Finish school, meet up with TM/coach/team and hit our local skatepark, TF or surfspot. I also dive for my high school dive team depending on the season. Then I come home, do my homework, and always get a good night sleep.
What is the weirdest encounter you have had while on the road? About a year ago, my friends and I went on a little skate tour around the island. We got to a pool in Kapolei and there were mice just throwing themselves into the transition. I swear it looked like they were rolling into the bowl. But the problem was, after the mice fell in they couldn’t climb back out. So on account of not wanting to touch the mice, we had to scoop them out with empty soda cups. It was so bizarre, we couldn’t stop laughing, and we got it all on video.
